AWARENESS
The Allen I.M.P.A.C.T initiative encompasses raising awareness for various causes that affect the African American Community. Members actively engaged in events such as the Hartford Foodshare Walk Against Hunger and Diane's Helping Hands Ovarian Cancer Awareness Walk. In addition we have brought awareness to the Allen Community on the CROWN ACT, Kwanzaa, Gun Violence and the importance of organ donation.
ACTION
The Allen I.M.P.A.C.T is in action the 3rd Monday of every month when we prepare and serve a meal to over 75 individuals at MANNA Soup Kitchen, a division of Hands of Hartford. The 3rd Wednesday of each month families at My Sister's Place are engaged in an activities ranging from creating dream boards to trying healthy snacks.
