WOMEN'S DAY 2007
"BLESSED WOMEN OF GOD, WALKING IN HIS FAVOR, LIFTING EACH OTHER UP"
To start off our 2007 Women's Day the woman of Allen had a 12 Hour Prayer Vigil starting at 9:00 p.m. Friday, January 12th. The Prayer Vigil ended with a Prayer Breakfast at 9:00 a.m. Saturday, January 13th.
WOMEN'S DAY PRAYER
Our God of Grace and Mercy we come into Your presence as the Women of Allen Chapel AME Church thanking you for this opportunity to serve you. As we lift our voices in one accord, we recognize that You are God and everything was made by and for You. We ask that You annout this Women's Day program that it will bring glory and honor to Your name.
Teach us how to agree about the things of Your church and Kingdom, so that whatever we ask will come to pass and be done for us by our Father in Heaven. We pray that as members of the Body of Christ we will live as becomes us - with complete lowliness of mind (humility) and meekness (unselfishness, gentleness, mildness) with patience, bearing with one another and making allowances because we love one another. In the name of Jesus, we are eager and strive earnestly to guard and keep the harmony and oneness of the Spirit in the binding power of peace.
We pray that the Women of Allen be filled with the deep and clear knowledge of Your will in all spiritual things. We pray we live and conduct ourselves in a manner worthy of You, Lord, fully pleasing to You and desiring to please You in all things, bearing fruit in every good work and steadily growing and increasing in and by the knowledge of You.
Whatever we do in word or deed, we do everything in the name of our Lord Jesus, giving praise to You, Father, through Him!
In Jesus name, Amen.
